Prince George, B.C.- Prince George is one of four communities that will receive $50 thousand dollars through the Community Action on Energy and Emissions (CAEE) Gold award program.

The City of Prince George qualified for the funding because it is expanding its Green Building policy to include an incentive program for energy efficient new homes and an energy labelling program for existing homes to reduce residential greenhouse gas emissions.  The other cities receiving funding are:

  • Surrey, for a  district heating/sewer recovery strategy
  •  T'Sou-ke First Nation  to develop a policy and planning tool  that can be shared with others on the installation of a solar energy system
  • The Corporation of  Delta which is  developing permit guidlelines  to change industrial areas into eco-industrial

The CAEE Gold program emphasizes a higher level of innovation and implementation in policy and planning initiatives, which advances conservation and energy efficiency. These
innovations can be used by other communities facing similar challenges.

Good news, congrats!
Reduce green house gas emissions, don't fart.
From this day forward, fart into little plastic tube connected to Mason Jar. When the contents are pale green. Send it into Dan.
"Community Action on Energy and Emissions (CAEE) Gold award program."

That is Liberal for "here is some more taxpayer dollars we found just laying around".

Funny how they label taxpayer dollars with different titles simply to make the sheep think this money grows on trees.
Energy efficient new homes? Wow! WHEN they are built a few years from now when the economy might pick up. Who gets the interest on the dough until new houses somewhere are built?
