Smithers - A new show coming to the Smithers Art Gallery will pay tribute to the communitys transition house (Passage House), which first opened its doors 20 years ago. Run by the Northern Society for Domestic Peace, Passage House provides shelter for women and children in crisis. Entitled 5314 the show honours the 5,314 times that women and children have received support and protection at Passage House since 1989. It coincides with BC¹s Prevention of Violence Against Women Week, April 18 25.
The show runs from March 31st to 25th featuring works from artists across northern BC.
