Tonight is the last night Cliff Dezell will occupy this chair.
After 27 years, the seasoned municipal politician is calling it quits. "I want to spend more time with my family and my grand children" says Dezell.
He is still very busy though, "I am very involved with the development of the Northern Sports Centre, so that takes a lot of my time, but I think after 27 years, (in public office) that's enough for anyone."
Will he miss it?
Yes and no. "I will miss some of the people, for I have had the opportunity to work with some wonderful, dedicated people. My work with the Federation of Municipalities, has allowed me to see most of the country, and it is a wonderful country."
