The money will go to create a mobile poultry processing unit that will help diversify the local economy while encouraging growth in the poultry industry.

The project is projected to increase the availability of locally grown food for residents in the area.

A second contribution of $170,000 will go towards the Quesnel Community and Economic Development Corporation. They will complete the design, the engineering and related activities for the development of approximately 18 acres of city-owned land, which is designated for light industrial development. Election year. Still good news though.
metalman.
Everybody has their feathers ruffled about it, and they're in a big flap. Some say it's chickenfeed, but that's a lot of scratch. I think they're getting a little cocky about it, but I may be just henpecking. This money will make a nice starter egg, if they hatch a good plan, they won't have to wing it. That's a lot to crow about.
It should all be over easy
Metalman, it said FEDERAL FUNDING. Unless you know something we don't. Is their a federal election coming?
I Would expect a Federal Election sometime this year. Icabod Crane (Ignatieff) is just waiting to get organized and get a little money and then they will try and dump the Government.

It would be nice to have a couple of years without an election, however I doubt if that will happen.
A mobile poultry processing unit seems to be a good idea.

One has to hope that the fox doesnt get into the hen house, or feathers will begin to fly, and chickens will return to the roost, and everyone will be standing around clucking.,
It's no yolk, if it doesn't work out then everyone's going to end up with egg on their face. I just hope they're not counting their chickens before they're hatched.
thereasonableman; are you going to be here all week?

I'm going to catch one of your shows :-) :-)
RUEz, what makes you assume that I am referring to provincial politics?
metalman.
My routine would flow a lot better if people weren't trying to pick a fight with each other between punchlines.
Is our Chicken Marketing Board onside for this? There is a 365% tariff on imported milk. The same for chickens? Will chicken be any cheaper? I doubt it. So why bother?
I think it's very eggciting !!
Congratulations to all involved for not chickening out on this.
