Construction has started on  a ramp between 15th Avenue and Winnipeg Street.

The project will be constructed over two years.

This year, the earthworks and underground storm sewer will be installed.

Next year, the remainder of the work (including road surface, sidewalk, and lighting) will be completed.

The design will allow all movements at both ends of the ramp except for: • northbound left turns from the ramp to 15th Avenue • southbound left turns from Winnipeg Street to the ramp.

These movements will be restricted due to limitations in the laning and geometry of 15th Ave and Winnipeg alignments.

The 15th/Winnipeg ramp was identified for construction this year in order to improve connections in the pedestrian, cycle, and arterial road networks, and to reduce traffic through the adjacent residential neighbourhoods .

2 years are you kidding me?this little patch of ashphalt should take about 3 - 4 weeks, unbelievable. While I'm at it I might as well *** about the new merge lane that the rocket scientists at city hall approved at the new Wood Wheaton dealership, check it out when you you drive west towards Costco, what a joke.

I don't know why we have merge lanes anyway. Most of the morons don't know how to use them.If you don't belive me just watch at 5th and central and at the bottom of Peden hill.Maybe move the signs a little closer up to the curve might help.
