Treasure Ties for 11th

Sudtirol, Italy - Alyx Treasure of PG tied for 11th place in the high jump with three other girls at the IAAF World Youth (age 15-19) Track and Field Championships in Italy.

The 17 year old Treasure cleared 1.75m, but didn't manage to make it over the 1.79 mark.  She tied with three other competitors in 11th position.  16-year-old Alessia Trost of Italy took first place in the event final, making clearances at 1.85m and 1.87m.

Treasure will be coming back to Canada Monday.  Next for the PG athlete will be two weeks of training in Vancouver in preparation for the Legion Nationals in Quebec August 5th.
