Local Firm Wins Bid To Audit The City
By 250 News
Deloitte and Touche-Prince George will provide audit services for the City of Prince George for a three-year contract, with an optional two-year renewal.
The newly sworn-in City Council approved the appointment at a meeting this evening and will pay the accounting firm $55,000.00 for the 2005 year-end audit, with annual increases of three-percent per year for the term of service.
While three companies submitted bids by the closing date of November 15th, a submission from a lower mainland firm failed to meet all the requirements of the Request-for-Proposals.
That left just Deloitte and Touche and Vancouver-based, BDO Dunwoody, in the running and the local firm out-scored the Vancouver company based on the criteria outlined in the RFP.
