Evacuation Order Issued For Scum Lake

West Chilcotin BC- An evacuation order has been issued for the Scum Lake area in the West Chilcotin region as a result of the Lava Creek fire.

The Cariboo Regional district issued the level two affecting the residents of the area.

A number of roads have been blocked. Access is blocked at three points

At 40 Kilometre on the Taseko Rd.

Junction of Newton-Whitewater Rd. (Bayliff Ranch)

Choelquoit Lake Junction.

Maybe all this started as an insurance scam, after someone discovered that their real estate advert extolling the virtues of living on beautiful Scum Lake wasn't bringing in the offers.
