Based on recommendations from the Cariboo Fire Centre, the Cariboo Regional District has issued an evacuation alert for residents living northeast of the Lava Canyon Fire. Approximately 14 residences within the following boundaries are affected by this alert;

•         North boundary - Highway 20 including Bayliff Road,

•         East boundary - Chilko-Newton Road to the Highway 20 junction,

•         West Boundary - Redstone Forest Service Road to the Highway 20 junction.

 

This alert does not extend to the Redstone First Nations Reserve at this time.
