Prince George, B.C. - Just as Coke or Nike make efforts to “brand” their product, more and more companies and individuals are focussing on personal “branding”.

What does that mean?   Susan Kelly Easton, says it involves defining “what is authentic about yourself and what differentiates you from your peers so that you are the obvious choice.”

Then it’s a matter of correlating your “brand” to your target audience says Kelly Easton “Let’s say your target audience is 20 something, you don’t want to come off as a 50 something corporate image, you want to be able to speak to your audience, so being aware of what is valuable to your target audience is very important.”

“The most important thing about personal branding is what is important to you, what is your vision, your passion your values, and that in  itself will connect you to your target audience because you are looking for people with similar visions, passions and goals.”

The work to define a personal brand includes talking with the people who know you, “You could discover people think you are, for example, meticulous, and maybe that’s not something you want to put forward.” She says the whole process is a major confidence booster for her clients.

Personal branding started in New York and is now being used all across North America and Europe, “It’s all about finding who you want to talk to and how you are going to get your message out to those people.”
Susan Kelly Easton will be leading a special session at the Today’s Woman Leadership Conference on Friday in Prince George.

As a former sawmill worker from Ft. St. James who moved to the lower mainland and returned to selling cars in the last year or so.Getting customers to remember you is very difficult in these tough times.Simply by using "grampa" crossed ever cultural line and age group. It works.
Where are the 'todays mens leadership conference'? It's starting to get to me - - ----
Equality is not for the Caucasian male middle income. Apparently we have had it so good that we don't need to talk about it or need guidance.
They are out there supertech. Depends really on what route you'd like to take. Darren Weeks (Canadian Rich Dad) has been to P.G. a few times now offering advice on real estate investing opportunities.
He of course is linked to Robert Kyosaki who has partnered up with Donald Trump for a few ventures.
Of course you need to have some money to invest in these places or have someone invest in you so you can invest...blah blah.
Check out Darren Weeks or Robert Kiyosaki on facebook if this is something for you. Or through them maybe you can find someone who more inspires you.
