Prince  George, B.C.- With over 800 thousand doses of H1N1 flu vaccine delivered to people  throughout the  Province,   20%   of  the B.C. population has now been vaccinated.

Hospitals throughout the province are feeling the pressure says Provincial Medical Health Officer Dr. Perry Kendall.   He adds that while emergency rooms are often full, the activity is not unlike what would normally be experienced during any flu season. “Our daily monitoring of Emergency rooms shows the system is not overwhelmed” says Dr. Kendall.

A further 250 thousand doses of vaccine will be delivered to the province  this week,  but it will  take time to  distribute  those doses.   The Northern Health region has specific logistics challenges says Dr.  Kendall. It takes time to get the vaccine shipped to Prince George, then to areas throughout the north.  That is why the Northern Health   vaccine clinics are a week behind those in the lower mainland.

Northern Health has 30 clinics throughout the region with one in Prince George.

He says he expects that by the end of next week it is possible the vaccine will be made available to the balance of the population.

There has been   no change to the clinic  times in Prince  George . The  clinic  is open today and  tomorrow until  8:00  each evening. There is no clinic on Remembrance  Day, the schedule resumes  on Thursday:

  • Thursday, Nov. 12 - Friday, Nov. 13, 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • Monday, Nov. 16 - Friday, Nov. 20, 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • Monday, Nov. 23 - Friday, Nov. 27, 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

'abovetopsecret.com'? LOL.
I am concerned about Canada buying enough vaccines to vacinate everyone. So now the last poll I seen on who wanted the shot and who did not came in at 40% of the population said they would not take the shot. I saw somewhere that if the shot is not used within a certain time frame it has to be thrown out. One of the hockey teams doctors used this as the reasone for vaccinating one of the teams. So my concern is if the tax payers are paying for all these vaccinations and 40% of the population does not want it is this not a huge waste? Why did our government not ask the people if they wanted it or not before they ordered so much? Something just does not feel right about this whole thing. Or maybe it is just more government waste of money and nothing more.
at least I cited some references. What do you bring to the table? just sneering cynical rejections of an alternative to propaganda.

Yes, propaganda.

If you are buying what they are selling, I have a bridge for sale.
What passes as a valid reference in your eyes? 'abovetopsecret.com', YouTube, and Yahoo answers do not instill confidence. Those sites just preach to the choir of conspiracy theories, and you're right there saying 'Amen'!

I'm not sure if you're noticed, but there's an internet site to support whatever whacked out viewpoint you might have. So go ahead, keep up the fear monger campaign and keep on saying 'they're out to get us'. Best of luck with that.
I may not agree with you Loki, or your references, but it definitely is food for thought....
another point of view is always a good thing when one is making decisions...
Without weighing in on the actual flu debate i am solidly with MrPG re. 'references'. Web sites are not 'references' as there is no review process, no punishments for publishing absolute BS, etc. Before you post a 'reference' site you should remember that anyone can make a web site and include any content they want to. Posting a URL to support your argument is often the equivalent of saying: 'some guy i met on the street told me this'.
BCR: that is all I am doing. an alternative view.

Granted that those sites don't have the best reputation for accuracy. At least they are not afraid of seeking truth.

If you want truth, don't ask a politician. So far, we only have had politicians providing information through their lackeys the public media and government run health care.

One cannot expect the public media to make a lot of noise that is contrary to the "official" word. That would be a political suicide. When you are dependent on the government to authorize licensing or permits, you have to kowtow to the powers that be or cease operations.

I also checked if this was on snopes.com just to see if it was a hoax. No hits other than a story about the head of the company that patented swine flu.

I am most curios to see if anyone can find something more concrete to refute my hypothesis. Instead of laughing at the tinfoil hat, provide something.

Caring soul's questions do not detract from my ideas. They actually support my ideas, Whether that was the intent or not.

No matter what, government is in business to support big business and there are few as big as bio-chemical. Somebody somewhere is making tons of cash off every government in the world. This kind of thing does not happen altruistically. Every taxpayer in the world is being had.

Just wait, there will be more. This is a test run. So either bury your head in the sand and believe the politicians, or seek the truth from as many sources as possible. Call me crazy, but I always thought that is what intelligent folks do.

Just for mrpg, "The truth is out there"
Ah I see Ad Hominum is still rampant on the 250 threads.

Loki, here is another wonderful H1N1 reference. I'm sure her credentials should withstand most scrutiny.

Cheers.

Any site I post, whether it's the CDC or Government, would likely not be valid in your eyes Loki, so what's the point?

As caranmacil said, posting a link to a random website doesn't help your cause. You will likely seek out and believe websites that support your view and so will I.
I never questioned the validity of your sources, you questioned mine.

I did not post "random" sites. I heard a rumour that the virus had been patented and searched on "h1n1 patent". Apparently it is true, you should watch the one denial suggested. it is in a foreign language with subtitles, but I am sure you can find someone to read it for you.

I tried to select sample sites that were not flagrant conspiracy sites. I want the truth more than wanting to be right.

I know it is hard for many folks to accept that our leaders would tell lies or falsehoods. Harder still that they would have any ulterior motives than to do what is in the best interest of the country and its citizens. They are but human after all and just as fallible as the rest of us. History shows us that politicians are as greedy as anyone else.
Interesting that the H1N1 bug will be taking Rememberance Day off.
Loki and whomever else. Can you please check out what is happening in Ukraine and now spreading into India. Aparently there are now over a million people there with the black death plague. What the hell is going on and why is it not in our mainstream news?
"I know it is hard for many folks to accept that our leaders would tell lies or falsehoods. "

I never said I believe what the government says all the time. I tend to take each situation individually. It is probably also hard to accept that people who spout off non-provable statements do not have our best interests at heart as well. But hey, it's okay as long as their intentions are good, right? ;)

There's your side, there's my side, and there's the truth.

Take this link with a grain of salt. However, what I enjoy about this site is they raise questions. Mind you they favour conspiracies and if you take what they say as gospel, do incite fear.
