Job well done by the local Constabulary
I'm glad this fine upstanding citizen has been stopped by our wonderful local officers.
The only problem is, is that the courts will most likely give them conditional sentences.
... or they will make a plea deal with the police to get the conditional sentance and they won't even see the court room?

All to often the courts are just the show aspect of 'justice', and decisions and deals are made elsewhere beyond the light of the record. Thats the modern day Canadian judicial system... and they have no accountibility for the merrits of backroom deals IMO.
There were other guns stolen. If they have information leading to the recovery of those guns and the confection of the thieves a deal is not a bad thing. They were only cuaght with possession of stole goods. A crime that they will get a light sentence for anyway.
It's okay My3 you could have called this guy a dingaling. Love the sarcasm though.
Hopefully he gets at least a fine for not having his stolen firearms registered with the fire arms registry. :)
"or they will make a plea deal with the police "

The police do not have the authority to make plea deals with anyone. If they even tried it is considered a violation of the Charter of Rights. Only the lawyers can make plea deals.
