Crash Sends One to Hospital

Prince George, B.C.-One person has been taken to hospital in Prince George with undetermined injuries following a head on crash on highway 97 south.

RCMP Constable Del Byron says the initial investigation would suggest the driver of a northbound pick  up truck crossed the centre line,  colliding with a southbound loaded B-train.  The pick up then veered off to the right ditch.  The drivers were the lone occupants of their respective vehicles.

The driver of the pick up was taken to hospital.  The driver of the b-train was badly shaken up but was not hurt.

The crash   occurred   arooung 5:25 p.m.   traffic is being rerouted to the Sintich frontage road.

I hope the pick-up driver will be OK. Truckers will always come out better in a scenario like this.
