Prince George, B.C.- Now that the Salvation Army has had some time to count all the final donations, the Kettle Campaign   total for 2009 has officially topped a quarter of a million dollars!

Pastor  Bruce Kirk says the final tally puts the total from the campaign at $252 thousand, a new record high, up $20 thousand over last year.

The Salvation Army is issuing a heart felt thank you to all who donated dollars and to those who donated their time to man the kettles over the season to reach this milestone.

Prince George citizens are extremely generous along with the best volunteers in maybe the world. Good for you Prince George! Good organizing Pastor Kirk.
I spent some time at the kettles this year and found people to be very generous. Good for the citizens of PG and the Sally Ann to continue the good work they do.
Glad to see us come through AGAIN. I think I gave at least 8 to 10 times. They were everywhere.

Good work to the Sally Anne
I was also drawn to put something in the kettle every time I walked by. I was also motivated by the thoughtful and generous local folks who donated some time manning the kettles.

Our church has another $2,500 or so we raised over the past few months that we will drop off with Captain Kirk and his team to help feed the hungry in PG and surrounding area. A good number of our church members were also helping prepare and serve food over the past few weeks.

It's nice to see real giving in action.
Good for Salvation Army. Hope St Vincents got equal support.
