Vancouver, B.C.-Earlier today, there was a report of two tonnes of ammonium nitrate that was “missing”.

Ammonium nitrate can be used to make explosives, in fact, that is what was used in the Oklahoma City Bombing  several years ago.

Turns out the two tonnes of explosive weren't missing afterall.

RCMP report it was a clerical error that lead to the inventory discrepancy.

At approximately 5:00 PM today, a representative from Kinder Morgan, the company responsible for the product, notified the RCMP that the source of the discrepancy was a clerical inventory error.  All product is accounted for and nothing is missing.
Based on this new information provided by Kinder Morgan, the RCMP is satisfied that no product is missing.

RCMP investigators will meet with company representatives tomorrow to review the documentation and source of the discrepancy.

Strange that it was announced there was missing ammonium nitrate that the RCMP had been investigating for over a week, then within just a few hours of this announcement it was announced it wasn't actually missing.

Of course if it was really missing and had not been found and that was announced to the public, I'd be thinking a lot of tourists may stay away from the olympics.
