Williams Story Far from Over

While it may take time before the final chapter is written in the story of Colonel Russell Williams, it  will claim the story of the decade. There is a saying in the media that the story has arms and legs, this story is an octopus if that is the case.

Is he  Col.Jekyll or Col.Hyde?

While to this point the charges against the Col. are allegations only, we have a man with an outstanding background who is suspected of having the uncanny ability to turn  from a man in charge of the largest military air base in Canada, a man schooled in the finest military and educational institutions in Canada , a man who (to all around him) has a kind and gentle side , into a monster   who gets his jollies in tying up women,  sexually assaulting them, and then leaving the scene of the crime packing  women’s underwear  and other personal effects. He is also accused of  taking pictures of the alleged assaults.

In layman’s terms whoever committed these crimes is  one sick puppy.

Just how far this investigation into the deaths of two women and the sexual assault of two others will go is not known. This is known, there are numerous police agencies from across Canada where Williams has served hoping to tie up many unsolved assaults of a similar nature.  Oddly enough by chance or by choice numerous sexual assaults of the kind that Williams is charged with have taken place at bases where he has served.  Were those cases just an alignment of the stars or something worth seriously examining? The answer to that question  will come with time.

As for the military allowing a man with Mr. Williams possible personality traits not being discovered by their intelligence, have a quick look at his credentials, have a talk to his wife or military associates . If there were red flags, no one is stepping forward to say they saw them.

I’m Meisner and that’s one man’s opinion.

Its quite the tale alright. I think we all know from experience however, that we never really know anyone, and Mr. Williams may have been secretive enough to disguise the darker side of his personality. Remember Judge Ramsey?
One tends to assume that most of the criminal element are the down and outers, or **scum** as they are sometimes referred to.

A close look at the major killers, etc; show that this is not the case, and in fact these people come from the middle, or upper middle class.

Major companies have tests in place that are supposed to find these types of people and weed them out, but it seems that the tests are not working. I would assume that the Military have the same tests.

Thank God that these types of personalities are rare.
Being charged doesn't make you guilty....
being in the same area, doesn't make you guilty....
so lets give the courts a chance to either prove he is guilty, in which case he goes to jail or found innocent in which case his reputation has already been distroyed...
nice justice system!
Just because we are not aware of a certain personality type being common does not mean that it is uncommon.
These perpetrators are very well practiced at masking their true nature. They have been practicing since they were toddlers.
They are very good at manipulating others so you may not even know that your best buddy has any of these tendencies.

Let's see, he is military trained, he is officer trained, he is combat trained.
"Major companies have tests in place that are supposed to find these types of people and weed them out, but it seems that the tests are not working. I would assume that the Military have the same tests."

What do you mean by this? They weed them out..so that they will not be hired into their company or organization? How does this solve the problem? The person with the tendency toward psychopathic behavior still exists. We need preventive and therapeutic measures to somehow identify and help these folks, without "mis-identifying" "healthy" folks and giving them complexes about problems they don't really have. It's complicated, that's for sure.
He lead the police to the body?!?! I would have to say that even though he has not been found guilty by the court yet.. it is pretty safe to say he will be!
I read a study a while back that showed a correlation between the more children a person has the more likely they were to be psychopathic kills than the population that had fewer or no children... and most of the worst serial kills were well off outstanding family men in their other lives. I found that an odd conclusion when I read it, but if one reads the news these days its not all that surprising. It seems positions of power sometimes lead to an idea they are unaccountable or too smart to be caught for their crimes.
So having children drives one crazy?
I thought we all knew that.

It is not the position that corrupts, it is the psychological condition that provides the right personality type to succeed at those higher levels. They (persons in positions of power) do not think like the average person, if they did, they would be an average person and not the corporate general.

It is also influenced by their upbringing. They are trained by their affluent family to be different that the rank and file and that also includes entitlement.

They are not us, and we are not them. If that were not so than any one could be a successful executive.
