How many games are left Dallas?

I hope that everyone, including Dallas, is look forwrad to another rebuilding season next year. This will be our 8th consecutive rebuilding season in a row.
rebuilding implies an attempt to rebuild

In reality what we have seen is 8 years of ineptness.

The Cougs have gone from the toast of the town to the joke of the town, many used to wear their 300 dollar Cougar jackets in pride, now you get laughed at if you have a Cougar shirt on.
It is obvious that Rick wants to provide good jobs for all of his family. It is his business, and he can run it however he wants to. So I have no problem with that.

But it is equally obvious that things are not working out with Dallas making the hockey decisions. I really do hope that Brodsky is able to find Dallas another job in the organization somewhere. Can't they give him a promotion, they way they did with Brandi, and move him up in the organization somehow.

Worst team in the entire CHL says it all.

Regardless of what people think of Rick or Dallas it has been shown in the past that if the team is winning, the crowds will grow. So they need to find a balance of keeping the family employed, while at the same time having a good product on the ice.

There is only so many times you can change the coach. But the coach can only do so much with what they are given. I really do hope they get someone in place before the draft that can maximize the value of the top draft picks we will have in the upcoming WHL and Import drafts.
While Dallas Thompson is certainly a big piece of the puzzle and everybody's favorite whipping boy, there are other problems here as well that people rarely mention.

Coaching hasn't impressed me. Whatever system Dean Clark is trying to sell to the players, they're not buying.

You have to get it done at the draft table. Scouting hasn't done a good job and many of the players they have drafted have not panned out.
This might be the best result. If Conolly was healthy all year we probably would hqave 25 or 30 wins and squeak into the playoffs and out in first round. I think if the drafting is done right and we don't trade our drafts for 2nd rate players, we could be fine in a couple of years. Let's hope Clark does like he did in Calgary. 15 wins first year , 40 wins second year, and trip to Memorial Cup third year. He will definitely have a ton of young talent to work with over the next 2 years. I do agree with most of you though! It starts at the top and clearly the G.M. has not done his job effectively!
As good as Connolly is, I don't think he would have gotten 15 or 20 more wins for the Cougars.
The Cougers this year have been a disaster. 53 loses, with 5 games to go. If their past performance is any indication then they could lose 5 more.

Probably the worst record in CHL history.

Maybe its time to get out of the WHL business. Once you crunch the numbers it becomes obvious that the taxpayer are subsidising private business. The Cougers can now rent the ice for approx $1500.00 per night, while other shows etc, have to pay $3000.00. So you could argue that the Taxpayers of Prince George are paying part of the salaries for the Cougers.

In any event it will be interesting to see how long we will hold on to this franchise, even though it is obvious that it is costing a fortune.

Prince George people, are almost incapable of admitting they ever make mistakes, and this Franchise will be no different.
