Quesnel, B.C.- Over the past few weeks, RCMP in Quesnel have recovered several counterfeit $100 bills from various businesses.

 

There are several discrepancies between the fakes and a real $100 note. For instance, the fakes all bear the same serial number EJE9791896. This same serial number has shown up on fake bills recovered throughout the province.

 

Police are advising businesses and the general public to be especially cautious when accepting large bills. They say you should pay particular attention to the watermarks, holograms and the quality of the paper. 

 

Any suspected counterfeit bills should be turned over to the RCMP for examination.
