Prince George, B.C.-  Although the weather has turned cooler it hasn't been  wet enough to  reduce the risk of  wildfires.
The Prince George Fire Centre has been kept very busy since the first of April,  having responded to 51 wildfires, all of which have been human-caused and therefore considered preventable.

The fires have burned over 464 hectares, with the largest estimated at 170 hectares in size. Compared to this time last year, there had been only two fires that had burned one hectare.

Whatever happened to the term "forest fire" I notice that we are now using the US term "wildfire". Why should this be? Next it will be Center, ruff and axed.
I called the Fire Center and axed them the same thing.
Does that include grass fires
