Deltech of P.G. Buys Uneeda From Canfor

Prince George, B.C.- Canfor has sold its Uneeda operation to Deltech Manufacturing Inc of Prince George. 
 
Canfor says the sale is in keeping with the Company’s strategy to focus on the core business.
 
Uneeda (located in Chilliwack) produced fingerjointed lumber and remanufactured lumber products. It has the capacity to produce 200 million board feet of laminated wood beams per year.The sale of this asset is in keeping with our strategy to focus on our core business. 
 
Deltech will be taking over control of Uneeda in the next 30 – 45 days. 
 
In a memo to staff, Canfor thanked all Uneeda employees for their efforts and commitment over the years, “We believe this decision is in the best interest of the operation, its employees and Canfor as a whole.”
