Renovations Begin At Hospital for Cancer Centre

Cancer Agency, Dr. Charles Jago Chair of Northern Health Board, Minister of Forests and Range Pat Bell, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Shirley Bond, and Chair of the Fraser Fort George Regional Hospital District Stephanie Killam pitch some gravel to mark the start of renovations at the University Hospital of Northern B.C.
Prince George, B.C.- The development of the Northern Cancer Centre reached another milestone today with the start of renovations to the lab services and medical imaging areas of the University Hospital of Northern B.C.
The $8.3 million dollar renovations will be done in two phaases. Phase one starts now and will include lab and medical imaging renovations, which are expected to be completed by early next year. Phase two will develop 6 onocology beds and those renovations will start in 2012 when the new Cancer Centre has opened.
