Prince George, B.C.- With the Province of B.C. announcing the continuation of the residential tax deferral, the City of Prince George will have to wait to see how many, if any property owners opt to take part in the program.
Under the program, residential property owners can defer paying their municipal taxes to a later date. The Province pays the City the amount owed, and the property owner pays the outstanding amount to the Province directly.
Last year, about 45 property owners in Prince George took advantage of the program which was meant to help people through a  difficult financial downturn. That meant the City of Prince George received about $68 thousand dollars worth of residential property taxes directly from the Province.

Kinda like yer RRSPs. Hope postponing yer property taxes doesn't have a down side and have a parallel to the stock market.
Another scheme to increase debt. Isn't that the problem, not the solution?
