Prince George- RCMP and the Prince George Fire Department say a fire in the 2200 block of Quince St that happened at 2.00am May 31st was an act of arson.

Police say witnesses heard the sound of gas breaking and then found the rear stairwell of the complex engulfed in flames.

Fire fighters were able to quickly bring the blaze under control, limiting damage.

Police say they located a broken wine bottle and also found other material and garbage at the scene, leading to their finding that it was likely a Molotov cocktail that had been thrown through the window of the building.
