Prince George, B.C. - The annual Father’s Day Show ‘n Shine car show’s new venue was a hit.
Set in Fort George park, the event had a definite family feel as families shared lunch at picnic tables, or on the grass, a far cry from the heat of the pavement experienced at last year’s venue of the pine Centre Mall  or from previous years in the downtown where finding shade was a task. The addition of music and dancing at the band shell made for a very relaxed event.
The success of the show can be found in the variety  and high quality of the vehicles  which are brought  to  display.
from a 1927 Chevrolet complete with wooden wheels,  (at left )  to the high power  motor of a Shelby Cobra ( at right)

Just got back from the park. It was the perfect, most appropriate location to host such an event. There was something for the entire family to do. Playground, waterpark, shade of trees, park benches to sit down everywhere and the opportunity to see a wide selection of vehicles from oldies to the latest 2010 models of the new muscle cars like Camero & Mustang. Motorcycles And, the weather was spectacular. Very enjoyable afternoon.
We just got back as well. What a great place to have it. It had a real family feel to it, and the park made it very inviting.
We just got back to Quesnel after the show, we had our 2 vehicles there. It was an awesome show, the best we have been to in P.G. The park is the best place for it. I hope they can continue to have it there. I applaude the Cruisin' Classics on a job well done.
Best location ever! Awesome day, awesome rides!
A super location, cooler for the participants on the grass rather than on hot pavement all day. Lots of great rides on site and loads of lookers. It was a great day all in all.
Many retail business autos for sale there. They apparently left the price sheets off them. Obviously they (the dealers) would have to hire paramedics to administer defibrillators due to the potential of sticker shock.
Retail car dealers have no place at this kind of show!
That isn't what it is all about!
And you are right Harbinger...the prices will scare the hell out of you!
At these prices, they will all end up in trouble again!
I recently priced a vehicle between here,Vancouver, and then Alberta.
Also a new boat.
Alberta is by FAR cheaper for both.
Guess where I bought the new boat?
$3000 bucks cheaper(before any tax)for the boat in Alberta than here in B.C.and they dragged it over to Jasper from Edmonton for me!
I like to shop local, but that's a bit too extreme to pass up!
And nobody here would deal!
I didn't make the show, but a buddy told me it was the best he had been to in a long while!
Great job!
