Air Quality Advisory Still In Effect

Prince George, B.C.- The Air Quality Advisory remains in effect for Prince George.  The main problem continues to be the smoke from the Greer Creek fire.

The provincial air quality objective for fine particles, PM10, is 50 micrograms per cubic metre, averaged over 24 hours.

The 24 hour PM10 rolling average was 30 µg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown, 34 µg/m3 at BCR and 24 µg/m3 at College Heights at 7 am this morning.  

The provincial air quality objective for fine particles, PM2.5, is 25 micrograms per cubic metre, averaged over 24 hours.
The 24 hour PM2.5 rolling average was 16 µg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown site and 16 µg/m3 at College Heights at 7 am this morning. 
The advisory will likely remain in effect until tomorrow.
