Northern Health Predicting Balanced Budget

Northern Health is recording a $1.4 million dollar surplus as of period 9, which ended December 1st.

Financial Officer Barry Cheal indicates there have been some extra pressures on the budget with cost overruns in the surgical, diagnostics and emergency budgets.

The actual expenses as of the end of period 9 are $326,437 million dollars and the approved budget for the year was $479,753 million. The current “year” ends March 31st
