Air Quality Advisory Over

Prince George, B.C.- The Air Quality Advisory in Prince George that has been in effect because of smoke from wildfires in the Cariboo region, has been cancelled.
The provincial air quality objective for fine particles, PM10, is 50 micrograms per cubic metre, averaged over 24 hours. The 24 hour PM10 rolling average was 11 µg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown, 22 µg/m3 at BCR and 11 µg/m3 at College Heights at 10 am this morning.
The provincial air quality objective for fine particles, PM2.5, is 25 micrograms per cubic metre, averaged over 24 hours. The 24 hour PM2.5 rolling average was 8 µg/m3 at the Plaza 400 downtown site and 9 µg/m3 at College Heights at 10 am this morning.
The cancellation of the Air Quality Advisory means free transit rides come to an end at midnight tonight.
