Prince George, B.C. - Early this morning,   Prince George, RCMP officers  were called to a noise complaint at a residence in the 4400 block of 1st Avenue.

Upon attending the residence, members observed a quantity of Methamphetamine, marijuana and other drug trafficking paraphernalia which they seized, as well as a loaded 12 gauge shotgun and ammunition.

Police arrested a 27 yr old male and two females aged 27 yrs and 26 yrs of age. Weapon and drug related charges are pending as the investigation is still ongoing.

"Prince George RCMP continue to see a rise in the unlawful possession of firearms amongst the criminal element which could ultimately be used to committ a violent crime" says RCMP Constable Lesley Smith.  "Our members are making a positive difference by seizing these firearms and therefore preventing further distribution and circulation of these types of weapons within our community."

I'm sure that the seized weaponry was duly registered, and the police knew going in that firearms were on the premises....NOT!
metalman.
Actually this is kind of funny. My daughter phoned the cops about a noisy party keeping her awake and they told her it wasn't important enough to attend. Who knows what opportunities they miss because they won't deal with so called domestic issues. They seem all too willing to fight with drunks downtown and provide little to no service to the actual taxpayers.
It doesn't matter how many guns the cops take off the streets, they'll never make a dent in the numbers out there. Remove one and two more take their place. Guns are a dime a dozen for anybody that wants one. As far as registration for long guns goes..."fear the gov't that fears your guns"
"They seem all too willing to fight with drunks downtown and provide little to no service to the actual taxpayers"

I agree completely. So in order to increase service levels, let's hire 50 more RCMP officers and increase city taxes to fund them. Or, are you saying we should ignore the drunks downtown even though most people in PG complained ALLOT about them and demanded that the RCMP do something about it? Which is it?
Sheriff Andy knew how to handle ol' Otis the town drunk in Mayberry. How about hiring just a sheriff?
“Gun control? We need bullet control! I think every bullet should cost $5,000 dollars. Because if a bullet cost $5000, we wouldn't have any innocent bystanders.” ~ Chris Rock
Want to see the gangsters and names using these guns ? Go to www.gangstersout.com. Everyone needs to know who these guys are and add to the list !!!
Lets figure this out by cost effectiveness. I shotgun--how many cops? How many hours? How much gas etc, etc, etc. Did that shotgun shoot anyone?? Was it used in a crime and was anyone threatened by it? HHmmmm The Long Gone Registry I hope.
Seriously? Cost effective?

Rven if it wasn't used to shoot anyone - yet - would you not consider it cost effective to possibly save a life? What's a life worth to you Supertech?
Looks like cost effective service to me. Drugs that could end up in the hands of kids, and a gun thats only purpose is for killing people are now off the street. Like streetwise says how many lives did this bust save. Not only litteraly but also socially, meth can really mess a person up for long term addiction.
No money seized? Who was the one who had a real job in that home? I presume our "Ministry" will keep them afloat until they score. I love this province.
Hope they got a warrant for this stuff, or was it a rip?
"No money seized?" kinda makes you wonder if there truly was no money there, or was there?
