I wonder who is paying for the 10 members to attend the announcement in Vancouver....
Who's paying? Get serious. Just add that to the city's debt and pay interest on it forever.
Go Kelowna! Go Kamloops! If they are dumb enough to sponsor this financial sinkhole let them have it.
Agreed! Now is not the time for this with the 111 million dollar deficit and the fact that we are still not out of the economic downturn. The raising of taxes the last four years in a row and now more water, sewer and garbage increases has resulted in my parents moving from here as well. Cheaper to live south now that stinky, gas always higher tax gouging PG! As soon as I am done school we are gone to. Gooooo Kamloops and Kelowna!
Best of luck to Prince George!!

These Games have tons of supporters as was proven by the turn-out when the judges were here. I'm glad teh sielnt majority has not been drowned out by the negative nellies.
Go PG go.

Get all the government grants we can. Go for it.

300 does not equal tons! Most of them were kids. Buty ya, you go with your "tons of supporters" theory.

I have to agree with the WE CANT AFFORD IT group!
Just passed through Kamloops on the weekend. The boulevards are green with grass adorned with flowers and trees and the side walks are all level and concrete. This is in the commercial section of the City.

And we want the Canada winter games. How will this work with the lack of civic pride that exists in our City? Civic pride is more then wearing a jersey and joining the elites of our City screaming for joy at spending our tax dollars.
Cheers
Go get all dressed up in the hopes of incurring more debt? I don't think so, Tim.
This would be one of the biggest events to ever take place in the North... go PG go. Thousands are behind you, as you have witnessed, and the minority find joy to complain about anything, which is not representative of our City. Best of luck Sept.17!
Go Prince George Go!!!!
Here's an idea, let anyone who wants to attend the gala pay $500 dollars a head. It would help to offset the cost of the games and show council how much it is supported.
yep a lot of people wants to leave everything the same, whether its working or not. everyone is afraid of making a change that might be what it takes to take this town to the next level.

Go Prince George Go. Lets make Winter 2015 ours.
Well win or lose, at least the coliseum is getting a face lift....
Good Luck PG and congrats to all the people who got us this far - I can't wait for the announcement so we can take Winter 2015 by storm!
