Provincial Announcement Pending For UNBC

The Dr. Donald Rix Northern Health Sciences Centre at UNBC

Details are still being finalized, but the University of Northern B.C. expects an announcement from the provincial government next week.

The specifics are being kept under wraps, but the announcement will reportedly expand UNBC's activity and national profile in the areas of northern and aboriginal health research.

The campus atop Cranbrook Hill just accepted its second batch of medical students at the beginning of January.

Now this is a good thing, with more to come. Hats off to the Administration at U.N.B.C. as well as the medical community for continuing to stretch the North`s sphere of influence.
