The Prince George rink skipped by Tracey Jones is out of contention for the national women's curling championship after losing in draw 7 at the B.C. Scott Tournament of Hearts in Williams Lake this morning.

Jones entered the match with a 4-2 record, tied for 2nd place, but was facing leader, Kelly Scott of Kelowna.  Scott drew to the edge of the button to count four points in the 8th end, beating the local rink 7-2.

With the win, Scott advanced to the final and will play the winner of a game between Toni Wells of Maple Ridge and the Marla Mallett rink out of the Royal City Curling Club in New Westminster.  That semi-final goes tonight at 7:30pm. (click here, for details)

Only the top three finishers advance to the Canadian Scott Tournament of Hearts.

The Prince George Rink was comprised of Jones, 3rd Melinda Kotsch, 2nd Kay Thompson, and Lead Amber Cheveldave.
