Prince George, B.C. - It's an attraction thousands flock to every week in the Lower Mainland, but, today, a sampling of the Vancouver Aquarium is in Prince George.

The Aquarium's BC Hydro Aquavan travels throughout the province and into Alberta over the course of the school year, bringing a hands-on aquarium experience to those who may have never had the opportunity to touch a sea star, or observe a hermit crab closely.

Aquavan has been on the road in northwestern B.C. since September 7th, starting in Prince Rupert.  Today, the mobile marine roadshow is on-site at The Exploration Place and is open to everyone from 11am until 4pm.  (Call 250-562-1612 for more information)

This 'visit from Vancouver' continues until October 8th, with a number of visits to local schools over the coming week.

Wow, and the aquarium didn't even break going over our pot hole ridden streets.
