Prince George, B.C.- The City of Prince George is now officially advertising the Gang Crime Summit that is set for the 1st and 2nd of November in Prince George.
Organized in the wake of the shooting death of a young man in broad daylight on Oak Street this summer, the two day event at the Ramada Hotel is being advertised as an event to help the community “feel empowered” and to “share information and work together on establishing awareness, prevention, intervention and gang violence enforcement strategies.”
The two day event will feature presentations from the Uniformed Gang Task force, a former gang member, the Solicitor General, and representatives who can talk about prevention and intervention for those at risk of gang involvement.
With the exception of a public open session on November 1st, the two day event is not free. Anyone wanting to take part in the two days of workshops will have to pay $55 dollars. That fee includes lunch on both days.
Anyone interested in attending the summit can register by clicking here.
