Prince George, B.C.-  A female german shepherd and her pup were seized from a grow op discovered on the weekend in Prince George.

Rrince George RCMP  say they went to the  Highplain Road home  Satuday evening after getting a report  from a person concerned the dog was  underfed and mistreated.

Once at the site,   officers discovered a marijuana grow operation inside the residence and in an outbuilding. Members seized 2100 plants in various stages of growth as well as 8.5 lbs of dried marijuana which was ready for street distribution. RCMP also located a hydro bypass which is used in the diversion of electricity.

Police contacted the SPCA who attended the property and seized a German Shepherd and her pup for their safety.  The owner of the  dogs has yet to be identified.

RCMP continue to investigate and are looking for the renter of the property.
