Marijuana plants found in a rural residence, south of the city

Prince George, B.C. -  North District RCMP are releasing information about a drug raid on a rural home, south of Prince George, that netted marijuana with a street value estimated at half-a-million dollars.

A search warrant was executed on a home on Horrock Road back on October 14th.  RCMP officers discovered more than 26-hundred pot plants in various stages of growth, as well as 31-pounds of dried marijuana in plastic zip-lock bags, ready for street distribution.

Officers also recovered a stolen all-terrain vehicle on the property, which had been reported missing out of Alberta.

One male at the residence was arrested and is facing charges of production of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.  Police are also consulting with the Integrated Proceeds of Crime Unit, which may result in further charges.

In addition, RCMP say they're looking for the owner of the property.

I am sure R.C.M.P are going to beg us for room to keep all the grow op equipment.
I bet they have busted over a 100,000 plants this year in the area. If only they could sell the product back as medical Marijauna, it would pay for our new cop shop in under 6 months, and still have money in the bank..... Oh, it doesn't work that way?
Your right He spoke, we have had a lot of grow up busts this year. I just cannot recall any trials being reported to date. I am sure they will get a small fine, maybe even a $50.00 victim surcharge! If you want to clean up crime in PG best start would be the building located at 3rd and George Street.
Doesn't all of the equipment end up going to auction? I wonder who buys it?
Who else the next grow ops, its all part of the recycle program..
OOOOOOhhh Baaaad people. Just today (in the paper) we heard California is going to legalize it. That is the only way to get it away from the criminals--remember prohibiton and alcohol? If you're too young, look it up.
Hang on super, Don't you know that Campbell and Swartz are good buddies and Campbell follows him around like a puppy dog. He'll copycat California like he does with climate change and everything else Arnie comes up with.
One more natural resource we could ship to Califonia. We are reported to have the best in the world.
