Marijuana plants found in a rural residence, south of the city
Prince George, B.C. - North District RCMP are releasing information about a drug raid on a rural home, south of Prince George, that netted marijuana with a street value estimated at half-a-million dollars.
A search warrant was executed on a home on Horrock Road back on October 14th. RCMP officers discovered more than 26-hundred pot plants in various stages of growth, as well as 31-pounds of dried marijuana in plastic zip-lock bags, ready for street distribution.
Officers also recovered a stolen all-terrain vehicle on the property, which had been reported missing out of Alberta.
One male at the residence was arrested and is facing charges of production of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking. Police are also consulting with the Integrated Proceeds of Crime Unit, which may result in further charges.
In addition, RCMP say they're looking for the owner of the property.
