Council Expected to Start Alternate Approval Process for RCMP Building Funds

Prince George, B.C. - City Council for Prince George will be asked this evening to put the wheels in motion for an alternate approval process to borrow $13.8 million dollars for the new RCMP building project.
 
Council will also be asked to adopt the Committee of the Whole resolutions calling for the Finance and Audit Committee to work towards developing an operating budget which has no more than a 2.5% increase.
 
Also on the agenda for this evening’s regular meeting, the final plan for the Prince George Golf Course lands,   this one calls for more townhouses, no single family homes, and more park space (See "New Plan for Golf Course Lands" story).
 
Council will be asked to adopt the next phase in the Downtown Partnership plan which will establish an implementation team and require the Partnership to report to Council twice a year.
 
Social Development Manager Chris Bone will deliver a report on the implications of reduced  funding from gaming grants to non profit organizations.
