Prince George RCMP say a six-year-old boy is in serious, but stable condition in hospital after being hit by a car after school yesterday afternoon.
The youngster was struck near Peden Hill Elementary at approximately 2:45pm in what Police say appears to have been a tragic accident.
RCMP Constable Leslie Dix says, according to witnesses, the four-door sedan came to a complete stop at the intersection of Westwood Drive and Range Road, before proceeding and that's when the boy apparently ran into the street without looking.
A traffic analyst attended the scene and the investigation is still ongoing. No word on the extent of the boy's injuries.
