Prince George, B.C. -  For many city residents, and those from other parts of the region as well, Studio Fair marks the official start of the Christmas shopping season.

The 34th annual juried art fair begins its three day run at the Civic Centre at 10am this morning, with more than 75 participants showcasing their unique wares.

Pottery, paintings, glassworks, jewellery and a tantalizing assortment of candies, sauces, and spices are just some of the treats you'll be able to find for those 'hard-to-shop' people on your list.

Studio Fair's purpose is two-fold: 1. to showcase the originality and quality of area artists and, 2.  to raise funds to support the year-round Studio 2880 Arts Centre.

The Fair runs from 10-8 pm today, 10-6pm tomorrow, and 10-4pm on Sunday.  Daily Admission is $3.00 for adults, $2.00 for Students and Seniors, and kids 12-and-under are free.
