Prince George, B.C. -  Northern Health will sit down for a face-to-face meeting with representatives from the B.C. Nurses Union later today...

The nurses say they're concerned over patient care in hospitals across the region.  The meeting date was set back on October 20th -- the day nurses in Prince George staged a rally outside the Northern Health Authority's Board of Directors meeting to go public with their concerns.  (click here, for previous story)

BCNU Northeast Regional Chair, Jackie Nault, says many of the issues stem from a continued shortage of nurses.  She says efforts to resolve their concerns through the process mandated in their collective agreement haven't gotten anywhere in the past two years, but she does admit budgetary concerns may be impeding NH.

The meeting is scheduled with NH Chief Operating Officer, Michael McMillan.
