The firecamp in Vanderhoof, set up to deal with the huge Tatuk Lake fire, is expected to be closed down this Thursday. The Tatuk Lake fire is now 100% contained, and local crews will continue mop up and patrol operations.
The Forest Service says the fire danger remains low in the Prince George, Robson Valley, Vanderhoof, Fort St.James, Dawson Creek and Fort St. John zones.
The rating for Mackenzie is low to moderate, while in Fort Nelson it is moderate to high with 57 fires since April buring more than 11 and half thousand hectares of forest.
