Prince George, B.C.- For the first time, Team Russia has won the Subway Super series.
Heading in to the game against Team WHL at the CN Centre tonight, Team Russia lead the series 9 points to 6. In order to win the series, Team WHL not only had to win tonight’s game to give the series a “tie” . The series would then be decided by a shootout. In effect, the winner of the shootout would win all the marbles.
Such was not to be.
In front of a full house at CN Centre, a full house which gave former Cougar and now Vancouver Canuck Dan Hamhuis a standing ovation, Team WHL was beaten 5-2 with Bocharov of Team Russia getting a hat trick.
Team WHL put up a valiant effort, out shooting the Russians 38 to 23, but they were kept off the scoreboard until the 3rd period.
Team WHL's player of the Game was Lyndon Vey,  for Team Russia it was Stanislav Ocharov

Full house and future stars, it must have been a great time!
Team Russia disgraced themselves tonight! After they won the game, they went out on our town and harassed our waitresses, physically and verbally! They were touching inappropriately and tried to hit women. Good thing Prince Georgians have some respect for women and tried to stop these ignorant goofs... Needless to say but you will never see me cheer for a Russian team again!!!!
Somerled, and yes, Russian hockey players are the only ones in PG whoever exhibited boorish behaviour towards women in a bar.

Sounds like sour grapes to me.
I can attest to the disgusting behaviour exhibited by the Russian Hockey Team. My teenage daughter worked at a restaurant where they ate and they were extremely rude, chauvinistic, obscene and offensive. No sour grapes here, as I am not a hockey fan - just an offended mother. I am proud of my daughter that she didn't pop one of them in the nose, but would not have blamed her if she did.
