Dempsey and Spruce Kings Part Ways

Prince George, B.C.- The Prince George Spruce Kings  have relieved Ed Dempsey of his duties  as General Manager and Head Coach of the hockey club.

Taking over as the head coach of the Prince George Spruce Kings is Dave Dupas .

Dupas has more than ten years of coaching experience at the Major Midget, Junior 'B' and Junior 'A' levels. Dupas also has four years of experience as a player in the British Columbia Junior Hockey League, another three years of NCAA Div I experience and four years playing semi-pro.

Dave Dupas will join the Prince George Spruce Kings for their next game – Thursday November 25th in Westside versus the Warriors. The following night the Spruce Kings play in Merritt before returning home for Saturday night’s game in the Coliseum against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.

Inevitable!
Inevitable yes. Dempsey was a great coach back in the day though.
The Kings have been bad or worse for years, only the ineptness of the Cougars kept this from happening earlier
Dempsey should have been gone a long time ago. Not a pleasant man.
