All three Bel Canto choirs join together for the finale of last night's concert

Prince George, B.C. - It was 'A World of Song' for two hours at the Prince George Playhouse last night...

The Bel Canto Choirs' first mainstage performance of the 2010-2011 season played to a full house, as the choristers took the audience on a musical tour of the globe with songs from Africa, France and Japan...to name a few.

The Youth Choir (ages 12 to 18) did a masterful job of not only singing in a new language, but incorporating choreography into their choral arrangement.

For the evening finale, the choristers returned home, as all three choirs made their way to the stage singing, "Song For Canada".

The evening ended with a rousing rendition of 'O Canada', as the audience joined in and stayed on their feet for a standing ovation in appreciation of the performances. 

Artistic Director, Jaclyn Riemer, thanked the choristers, saying, "With huge hearts and beautiful voices, they're wonderful people."

The choirs will next join together to present 'Ain't Misbehavin' at the Playhouse on March 12th.
