The Prince George Cougars kick off 2011 with their only matinee of the season, as they entertain the Moose Jaw Warriors at CN Centre, starting at 2:00pm.

The Cougars are playing the sixth game of eight straight at home, taking four of the first five games of the stretch, including a 5-0 victory over Chilliwack in their last outing Wednesday.  The Cougars come into the game with a record of 19-15-2-1, just one point back of the BC Division leading Kelowna Rockets and the Cougars are getting some help in the line-up Sunday.  20 year old defenceman Sena Acolatse will be back on the blue line, after serving a two game suspension stemming from a match penalty called on Acolatse at the end of the Cougars December 18 game against Kamloops.  The Cougars have also called up 15 year old centre Alex Forsberg, the first overall pick in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft.  In 12 games for the Beardy's Blackhawks of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League, Forsberg has eight goals and 15 points.

The Warriors are in the middle of seven straight away from Moose Jaw and the third game of their BC Division trip.  The Warriors are 23-13-0-2, second in the East Division behind the Saskatoon Blades.  The Warriors defeated Vancouver Thursday 6-3, then doubled Chilliwack 4-2 Friday night.

Sunday's tilt is the Cougars annual Family Day game.  Fans are invited to skate with the Cougars after the game, with hot chocolate and popcorn available, courtesy Eurest.  Tickets are available by calling Ticketmaster at 250-564-5585.

Before the game and during intermission, Canada's World Junior Hockey Championship quarter final game with Switzerland, featuring Cougars Captain Brett Connolly, will be shown on the centre ice scoreboard.
