Terrace Teen Dies

Terrace, B.C. - Terrace RCMP are investigating the death of a 15 year-old boy this week.

The teen was at a supervised birthday party in Thornhill early Monday when RCMP say he suffered an unspecified trauma to his chest and stomach region.

Investigators say an adult male present at the party administered CPR until the ambulance got to the scene shortly after 1:00 a.m. The teen was taken to Mills Memorial Hospital where he underwent medical treatment. Police say the boy died shortly after two that morning.

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the death, but they’re also trying to stamp out a number of rumours about how the boy died. RCMP say the misinformation about the teen’s death are upsetting to his friends and family.

The boy’s name has not been released.
