For the first time in a month, the Cougars will be the visitors in a WHL game.  The Cougars and Vancouver Giants square off for the third consecutive time, as they meet at Pacific Coliseum Tuesday, the start of a mid-week road trip for the Cougars.

The Cougars last road game was December 11 in Portland and they come into the game with the Giants with a 9-7-1-0 record.  The Cougars and Giants met for a weekend doubleheader in Prince George last weekend, with the Giants taking the first game 4-3, followed by a 7-5 Cougars victory on Saturday night.  The Cougars go into the game with the best record in the BC division at 21-16-2-1 for 45 points, first in the division.  Their lead, though, is only a point ahead of Kelowna and two up on the third place Giants, who are 19-18-1-4.

The Cougars, who did not make any deals on the WHL's trade deadline day Monday, recorded the only home victory of the eight game season series with the Giants Saturday, currently 2-3-0-0 against Vancouver this season.  The only other time the Cougars met the Giants at Pacific Coliseum, the Cougars prevailed 3-2 in a shoot-out, coming from behind after trailing 2-0 through 40 minutes.  James Dobrowolski and Martin Marincin lead the Cougars with two goals and five assists against the Giants in five games between the two rivals.  The Cougars return to Vancouver on January 21.

Following Tuesday's meeting with the Giants, the Cougars will then play three straight with the Chiliwack Bruins, starting Wednesday in Chilliwack.  Both teams will travel north for back-to-back games Friday and Saturday at CN Centre, with puck drop at 7:00pm both nights.  Tickets are available by calling Ticketmaster at 250-564-5585.
