Two Killed In Terrace Fire

Prince George, B.C. -  A fire in a multi-family residential building has claimed two lives in the community of Terrace.

RCMP Staff-Sergeant R.W. Pritchett says fire fighters and police were called out to the blaze shortly after 8am yesterday morning at 4514 Scott Avenue.

Pritchett says fire fighters found one person in a bedroom while battling the blaze.  The person was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.  The Staff-Sergeant says, "On extinguishing the blaze, a second deceased person was located in another bedroom."

The Office of the Fire Commission, the B.C. Coroner's Service and the RCMP continue to investigate the fire.

No names are being released at this time.
