Prince George, B.C.- With just hours to go before the  strike deadline, CN rail and  the CAW have reached a tentative agreement.

The official announcement  says the deal was reached  after  48 hours of  negotiations. "This is a hard won collective agreement and I commend the master bargaining committee for their perseverance and dedication to resolving the issues important to our members right across the country," CAW National President Ken Lewenza said in a prepared statement.

Nearly 4,000 workers across the country were set to walk off the job  tonight if there was no  deal.

The package will be ratified over the next three weeks, only  when the vote is complete will the details be released to the public.

Its a miracle
I'm shocked that CN was able to negotiate a collective agreement with one of its unions without having the government on the sidelines threatning back to work legislation.
