Stilwell doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning the leadership.
She knows it,and the voter's know it.
The other candidates know it.
This is an old political smoke screen that we see often in every leadership race.
Many times, this is prearranged, even before the leaderhship race begins, by a high-profile candidate who has decided to run.
She has likely been very quietly promised a great job in cabinet by one of the front runners, should they win of course, in exchange for sending her support and the support of her followers to them when it comes down to the final crunch at the ballot box.
Let's say as an example, she is quietly backing Falcon,or Abbott,in exchange for the deal,if they win.
Big secret.
Come on down!
Nobody admits to this.
She signs up as many people as she can for herself who do not support any one of the other aforementioned candidates, and wouldn't normally support them.
In the end,it will be their support that she gives away,...maybe after the first or second ballot, that may put one of the front runners over the top to win the leadership.
Those people end up actually supporting and voting for, let's say,Kevin Falcon. Even though they cannnot stomach the man.
Stilwell would be the only one who benefits.
It is simply a way for a frontrunner to steal votes that they wouldn't normally get.
Wow...ain't is exciting!
Another form of dishonesty among politicians.
Winning is everything to them...no matter how you do it.
It is also a way for someone who would normally spend their political life in the shadows or the backbenches to advance their careers.
Lordy,lordy...I love politics!
