Team BC Has Two Wins In Wheelchair B-Ball

Prince George, B.C. - Team BC is off to a strong start in wheelchair basketball competition at the 2011 Halifax Winter Games.

The team, which includes Prince George athlete Avril Harris and Quesnel's Erik Vliegenthart, beat Alberta 61-56 in its first game of Pool B action yesterday.

No game summary was available, but Harris featured prominently in the team's second win of the day.

The team plays Quebec at 3pm pacific today and Saskatchewan on Tuesday before quarter-finals begin on Wednesday.

Right now, B.C. is alone in first place in its division.
